It is a new model developed according to the technical requirements
stipulated by the national standard GB/T2406-93. The instrument is
used to determine the volume percentage of oxygen required during
the combustion of the polymer. The polymer oxygen index value is
the oxygen and nitrogen mixed gas stream required to maintain a
combustion length of 50 mm or a combustion time of 180 s after the
material is ignited. The minimum oxygen concentration (also known
as the oxygen index) required to maintain the pattern burning.
The instrument can be used not only as a means to identify the
flame retardancy of polymers, but also as a research tool,
providing a powerful test method for laboratory research on flame
retardant formulations and the development of new flame retardant
materials. Suitable for flammability testing of materials such as
